Fishing Report June 22, 2009

Man, sorry for the dalay in a fishing report, things have been a little busy here.

So here's the skinny, yes rain was an issue in May and a bit in the beginning of July.

Different story for mid-July. It has been hot as #$#@% the past few weeks and the water is droppoing a little, thankfully not like last year. Terrestrials are the way to go. Fish a Turks Tarrantula with a swing caddis dropper behind it on 6x and lead with 5x.

The DH Streams. The killing started, may be a few survivors left?  You may want to wait until Oct.

The Wild Waters and Blue Lines,  Things have been great on small streams. Try Fat alberts with an inchworm behind it. Caddis or Trudes have been working as well

Smallmouth:

FINALLY the rivers are clearing up to fish flies again. Get that 6wt out and with that interrmediate line, and throw clousers or wigglers, in white/chart, or white. For that top water bite, use Crease flies and for that bottom slow pull; put on a Big Nasty or Ole' Helgy.

 Hope all that helps.

Have a good time, send us some pictures of your catch. We need more photos on the website.

Enjoy, from all the people at D.R.O.
