Another Great Fishing and Catching Report, JULY, 2010

SORRY FOR THE DELAY IN THE REPORT.

Today, is the first day that I have had the chance to sit down and enjoy the A.C.   Real Nice.

As you know the weather is HOT, and the fising is not so. We have been fishing and guiding the early mornings, 6am to 11am. Fishing Fat Alberts, Loco Beetles, Rio Grande Hoppers and Caddis have been the food/flies of choice. Yes, on top. If you need to go below the surface, use a Red Fox Squirrell Nymph, and a Soft Hackle Pheasant tail.

********The HATCHERY SECTION has been pretty good in the Morning, but after 11am PLEASE LEAVE IT ALONE. The fish are extremelly stressed and many are getting killed due to low hot water. Once the water comes back up, and temps cool down it should fish better.**********

We have been getting T-Storms which may muddy the water, if so? Streamer fish with a Belly Ache, or White Wooly Bugga', Meat Whistle. Or use a large nymph, Gurdle Bugs perhaps? with a Pink San Juan behind it.

Smallmouth Bass:  The French Broad is pretty much done for some time, due to heavy rains scattered through the counties. If the French Broad ever cleans up, it should fish good. Last year we had the same mud problem, and Sept fished great. Waiting is hard, we understand.
