Another Great Fishing and Catching Report, Sept, 2010
Finally all that hot stuff has blown away.
We are finally feeling cooler weather and the water temps have cooled down. Small Caddis and Black Stones have been out 16-20, along with some small cream midges 20-24. Stick with Ants, Beetles and Hoppers for consistency. Dropping Soft Hackles behind is always a good idea. Lightning Bugs in Red, Silver, and Green should work for nymphs 16-20. Afternoon showers may mud up the waters a bit, so always have a Kevins Stone, Pink Worm dropper handy, along with a White Sparkle Minner ready.
Smallmouth Bass: With the summer starting to disappear, the Smallmouth Fishing has been getting better. For the Fly Fisherman, an intermediate line and a white streamer will do, and on top Crease flies and Poppers in Chartreuse and white will do, Check out BOOGLE BUGS. They work. Now for the Spinner Sinner, White Flukes, Black Tubes and anything popped on top, in the shallows will work. Get em'
