Trip Breakdown
Half Day Wade Trips
Half day wade trips get you on the water and fishing. These trips can focus on learning to fish a certain stretch of river or learning to fly fish in general. These trips are 4 hours and can make for an excellent afternoon of instruction or a morning trout fix. Half days are perfect for anglers on vacation with friends or family who only have a limited in which they can fish. Half days are also our standard winter wade trip where anglers can fish the mid-day window when fish are most active without wasting time in the morning or late afternoon. All half day trips include waders and fly rods. Valid NC license is required.
Full Day Wade Trips
Full day wades are our most popular trip. Usually 7-9 hours in length, anglers wanting to get in a good day of fishing will get it here. Full days are a great way for anglers to explore new water or fish a variety of local streams in one day. Full day trips include a riverside lunch, non-alcoholic beverages, waders, and fly rods. Valid NC license is required. Maximum of 3 anglers per guide.
Full Day Trout Float
Our float trips are the best way to enjoy a full day of fishing for anglers of all skill levels. Kicked back and covering vast amounts of water in style is the name of the game. Our guides provide fiberglass driftboats with a maximum of 2 anglers per guide and plenty of dry storage for everyone. Since we are conveniently located in the heart of western North Carolina we have the opportunity to float some of the best tailwaters in the Southeast which include the Tuckaseegee, Watauga, and South Holston rivers. Float trips average in length from 7-10 hours depending upon water flow, destination, and time of year. Pricing includes a hearty riverside lunch, non-alcoholic beverages, fly rods & tackle need for the day, and boat shuttles if applicable. Valid NC or TN license is required.
Full Day Bass or Muskie Float
Enjoy our summer floats for bass or stalking the weary muskie. Each angler has the option of fly fishing or using traditional spinning gear on either trip. The rivers we target are the Toe, French Broad, Lower Tuckaseegee, and the Nolichucky. Float trips average from 7-10 hours depending on water flow, destination, and time of year. Prices include a hearty riverside lunch, non-alcoholic beverages, fly or spin rods, tackle needed for the day, and boat shuttles if applicable. Trips are limited to 2 anglers per guide. When to come
Come when you can! Many of the waters that we fish offer good fishing all year, and we often have excellent fishing in the off season - even in the mid of winter! Obvisouly summer is the most popular time to come, but a lot of anglers are learning that some of our best fishing is in the spring and again in the fall. A trip in March or April or in late September to November will get you away from the summer crowds and offer you excellent fishing opportunities. No matter when you come you will have some exciting fishing.
