J.E.B. and Walker are headed back to Craig, Montana this year for another round of fishing on the Missouri River. This year's trip will feature five days of FULLY GUIDED FLOAT FISHING. We are also going a week later, giving us cooler water, and even better streamer fishing opportunities.
Referred to as The Mighty MO, the Missouri is one of the most prolific fisheries in the lower 48, and boasts an average fish size of 16"-17". There are opportunities for both dry fly and streamer fishing, and this is good river on which to give Spey casting a try. Of course, nymphing is always an option, and there is plenty of river to mix it all up.
Our lodging for the trip will also feature an added bonus, as it is located on the Missouri River, and guests will have the luxury of fishing on their own in the evenings, right from their doorstep. As usual, all meals will be provided, with a self serve continental breakfast, on stream "sack lunches", and dinners prepared by J.E.B.
This is an exciting trip that features a chance to fish with some unique guides, witness quality hatches, and search for big fish. Walker and J.E.B. are happy to provide help with casting, tackle, and fly tying prior to the trip, so that you can have the best experience possible once you arrive. This trip is a good one to bring a buddy on, so call a friend and sign up today!
Itinerary: September 26th- Arrive in Helena, Montana. Walker and J.E.B. will provide pick up at the airport, but guests are welcome to use their own vehicle if they are looking to stay longer, or want to have their own mobility.
September 27th-October 1st- Fish, Relax, Repeat.
October 2nd- Depart from Helena with sore arms, and great memories.
Recent rains have left the greater Pisgah area with great winter streamflows, and ample opportunities to fish. Fishing is better as the water warms through the day, no need to be on the river much before 10am. Read More
