Smallmouth Bass Fishing

Smallmouth Bass are our favorite species to target in summer.  For those who have never caught a Smallmouth, they can be best described as the hardest fighting freshwater fish in our area.  Due to the size of rivers in which our local Smallmouth live, we only offer float trip options for them.  Catching these fish on fly requires a longer cast than most trout fishing situations found in our region.  Fly anglers should be comfortable casting a minimum of 40 feet.  However, for those who don't have a strong fly cast, or for those who do not fly fish at all, DRO also offers conventional tackle trips that are open to all skill levels.
