John Brinkley

A retired art teacher who has now become our shop's fly fishing instructor. John enjoys spending his free time chasing trout in the local rivers and streams of WNC. Fishing these rivers since his early childhood, John has immersed himself in everything trout fishing at home as well as many places across the US and abroad. John ties lots of Southern Appalachian flies that we sell in the store. When you see John, he will always have a smile on his face and be happy to share what he has been catching fish on lately! John has had his guide license since 1993 and knows his way around a fly rod like it is the back of his hand.
